After my breast cancer diagnosis in 2022 and the treatment and surgeries that followed, creativity became an important part of how I moved through that time.

The Pink Passage grew from my own experience and my desire to create a space for women living with and beyond breast cancer to come together through creativity, reflection and connection.

For these 90 minutes, we'll explore one simple but meaningful question:

What matters now?

What we'll do together

We'll begin with a guided grounding meditation, followed by time for reflective writing and a mixed-media creative experience.

Using words, watercolor, paint and collage, you'll create a layered background representing some of what we carry. Then you'll create a separate heart that brings forward what matters to you now.

We'll finish by adding one small bright heart, a simple reminder:

I am here.

This is not therapy. This is time to care for yourself through creativity. 

No art experience is needed. There is no right or wrong way to create your piece.

The Pink Passage is for women living with breast cancer and women beyond active treatment who would enjoy a creative space for reflection, expression and connection with other women who understand something of this experience.

A Little About Me

I'm Donna Lowy, founder of Date to Create and Creating with Heart. I'm an arts educator, certified life coach and creative wellness facilitator.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and continued through treatment and surgeries in 2023. The Pink Passage brings together two things that are deeply personal to me: my own experience and my belief in the power of creativity and connection.
