My Story

I have been creating since I was a little girl. From gathering the neighborhood kids to put on a show, to writing, directing, and acting for the theatre, to designing clothing and home interiors, creativity has always been a part of my life. I've also designed and led educational art and performing arts programs for children. Today, I bring all of those experiences together in Creating with Heart.


 I live in Southern California with my college sweetheart. Together we have raised two amazing kids, and we now enjoy the company of our Grand-puppy and two Grand-kitties. My family inspires me daily to live with creativity, joy, and purpose.


My true passion and purpose in life is to help others discover and embrace their creative potential, silence their inner critic, and release their Creative Superhero within. I believe creativity is not just something we do, it's how we grow, heal, and fully express who we are. 


I believe that life is too short for white walls, in the beauty of small acts of kindness, in the power of play, and in standing up against injustice. I believe in equality for all humankind, and that we should never stop growing, seeking, learning, and evolving. 


I love my family and friends, the beach, and books (yes, I have a little addiction!). I love traveling with my husband and connecting with people all over this amazing planet. I love teaching and learning, collecting rocks and shells, organizing spaces, dancing, and dreaming big. Most of all, I love creating and helping others embrace their true creative selves.
